Vladimir believes that love is weakness and is cold blooded.

History: When Vladimir was 27 years old, he was walking home at night and was attacked by a vampire named Caius. He became a vampire and eventually turned his sister accidentally because she cut her finger and he smelled the blood and wanted it, but he would never hurt her so he ended up turning her. His sister didn't talk to him for two years but eventually all was forgiven. Vladimir joined the Volturi a few years later with his sister in tow.

Vladimir isn't a fan of people falling in love or finding mates, he killed his sister's boyfriend after she found one. He doesn't really approve of her dating anyone and has his protective moments, but also his cruel ones too.
