Got some Blood..I mean Bread (Mia)

David found himself still thinking about the girl he had met in the park. she had smelled so..delicious, he had of course been a dick to her, for her own safety, but he still found himself drawn to her, as he had not before in a human, so he found himself one rainy day walking to her bakery. when he stepped inside, he was drenched. he walked up to the counter, where he found her "uh..hi, you wouldn't happen to have some towels would you, its like a bloody hurricane out there" his eyes were a bright gold, for as he had just fed.

It had taken Mia a good three weeks to get most of it working and ready, mainly because she was the only one working aside from a nice teenage boy she'd hired soon after opening up the bakery. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, very pale like the rest of the town, and his name was Samuel.

She was decorating some red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing when the door opened and in came in a man. Actually, it was the man who had been so incredibly rude to her that she had openly called him out for it. "Did you lose something?" she asked him coolly as she continued to decorate. Samuel nudged her and whispered, "He asked if we have any towels. He's soaked." With pleading eyes, the boy broke her guard and she sighed. "Yeah, we have some towels." She walked out of the lobby and into the back room where they kept all of their cleaning supplies, and came out three seconds after holding two white towels. "You're going to have to buy something now, you don't get to use our supplies for free."

David took the towels and began to dry himself off. He had hoped he would be alone with her, but in a way, this was better. now he would not be tempted to drink her. Tempted was a bad word, more alike atempt. it would have been rare for him to take one human life, let alone two. when she demanded he bought something, he smiled slightly "sure, but it will be for you" he looked over the goods and said "i think that nice cake will suffice" he smiled and handed her the money 'bon apatite' he said with a grin. he gave a sidewards glance a the boy, giving him a 'get lost' look.

"sorry for being a pain in the ass a few weeks back. It really was for your own safety." he gave her a small grin

I can't believe it. Mia thought as she heard him speak. Well, she was clearly not going to eat it. If he wanted her to have it, she would keep it and sell it again. His loss. She took the money and went to stand by Samuel, clearly not able to trust this man enough to be alone with him. "And what, exactly, are you trying to protect me from?" she asked, putting the money inside the register. "I mean, I think some repellent will work against mosquitoes." As she said that, Samuel let out a muffled laugh, and Mia turned to him and smiled a little.

when she clearly wasn't going to eat it, he shrugged. Its not like the Cullens were rich or anything. he rolled his eyes at his own mental joke. when she asked, he shrugged "I am trying to protect you from me. Believe me, repellent would not work against these types of mosquitoes" he sighed. he could not give too much away, but in a way, he wanted her to find out about him. that hint should dig at her brain enough to get her investigating.

"And what type of mosquitoes are we talking about here?" She raised an eyebrow. "You mean, the radioactive ones? The giant ones? The ones that suck your blood until the last drop and leave you stranded on the desert?" Of course, she was joking about all of this; these ideas where ridiculous. Just as she was waiting for an answer, another person came in, drenched just as much as he was, if not worse. Mia nodded to Sam and he hurried up to get another towel for the new character. Seemed to be a man in his forties, with a thick beard and bright green eyes. Mia flashed him a professional, yet friendly, smile.

David yet again gave the boy a 'get lost or else' look. he was not going to reveal anything with him here for sure, and probably wouldn't reveal anything with him gone either. He then let a small smirk touch his lips as he said "you are partly right there, they are pretty big, and they will suck you to the last drop, and leave a lifeless, bloodless, body behind" He did not want to scare her, but yet again, he was trying to give her small hints.. it was better if she discovered it on her own.

"Well, that's just perfect, isn't it?" Mia smirked in return. "I just don't happen to have time for any of those in my agenda." She was growing unsure of what this guy wanted. He could be a rapist, a psycho, something out of an Alfred Hitchcock film. She rested her hands on the counter and said, "Are you going to get something else? Because I think the rain is good enough to walk under now." She was afraid of him, sure, but only a little bit. She had no idea what he wanted, what he was doing here, or why he was talking to her so mysteriously. If he was interested in her, he needed a new approach; something nicer like showing up with flowers or actually being nice to her instead of creeping her out with weird bug theories. He needed to be a gentleman if he was going to get anywhere with Mia. But maybe that wasn't why he was there.

He chuckled softly "It is a perfect life" He joked. Sure, being a vampire had its perks, but it had its downfalls as well. "Unfortunately, that is all my agenda has room for" He sighed then when she said the rain was good enough to walk out now, he smiled slightly, deciding..since he was already going to hell, to put on some of the old non-vampire charm "Actually.. I'll be honest, the rain didn't bother me.. I came in to apologize for the other day.. and see if i get you... to come on a date with me this Saturday" He winked. He knew this could only end in heart ache.. but he couldn't help it.. he had been alone for so long.. he wanted somebody in his life.. other than the other Cullens.

"Well, I guess it's time you separate the bullshit from what really matters, then." Mia replied, figuring that maybe he was just one of those workaholics who didn't have a reason for living rather than making money and being successful while stuck in an office with a tiny window and a pile of papers ready for sorting and filing. It was disgusting to even think about such a life. "Starting...with your agenda."

When he started talking again, because Mia sincerely expected him to walk away with that smug look on his face, she forced herself to NOT roll her eyes. Was he really trying to be nice? Was it worth it giving him that chance? He'd been an asshole during 95% percent of the time she had spoken to him, but what about the other 5%. Sighing, not out of annoyance but out of surprise, Mia replied. "Sure, but I work late on Saturday. You'll have to pick me up here."

He smiled despite the fact he should have felt hurt. he said "The bullshit shall remain, until you deem it otherwise." he then side glanced at the boy, before looking back at her "i have left you clues in these last two meetings. Until you figure them out, I shall remain" He paused "A mystery"

He was quite enjoying his little game. He would not have reveled it was a game but for the fact she didn't seem to be getting it. He then said "i will pick you up on Saturday. Maybe by then you will have an idea" He smiled slightly, then added "i do warn you, if you were smart, you wouldn't want any further contact with me." He turned to leave, then looked over his shoulder and pointed to the cake "seriously, I'm not hungry, you should eat that.." he smirked "Or re-sell it" He then waved and exited the store.
